Mirage Source

So ya, it hit me last night as I was looking through my commands for the client. There is no full guild system in the source! I had assumed that because most of the variables were present in the player rec that it was already in there (and also because player worlds had had guilds for as long as I can remember). So now I have to spend a bunch of hours putting in a guild system.

on a brighter note, at least I can program it the way I want. heh.

Seriously though, yeah it's like the weather system or day/night basically. Some of the things you need are there, but not enough just yet to activate or use them properly.

the kingdoms tutorial was meant to have the player choose their starting location, if I remember correctly. the simple barebones guild as is present in playerworlds was what I Was expecting, lol. oh well, gives me more to do!

I've been here since a year after the source was opened up (I've been with the PW community since way before that even, I was just stubborn at the time). in all that time I've never thought to check out the guild system. like I said, I just kind of assumed it was there, since I saw all the variables. it didn't dawn on me till now.

Think about it like Orchestra members right before a performance, then.

They may rightfully assume that their instruments are all properly tuned, yes... but do they still check? Of course.

Does the resulting noise frequently make my ears bleed? Yes. @_@;

I almost never make sense, for a reason I have yet to figure out.

But basically, I was an ass before I ever noticed and remarked about people assuming things. Making an ass out of 'you' and 'me' generally implies that both parties are, in some form or fashion, an ass.
