The houses are nice too, but I've noticed something.. In this picture I'm posting, notice the red circles on the corners of the houses..



In my opinion, they should be shorter, not alot shorter, but I just think they stick out a bit too much.

I think they're fine like that - they're already a little "stubby" looking. Any shorter will look kinda strange.

I love the roof

I mean the edges of the roof.. Not the entire house.

That's not realistic, if you look at houses around you, they don't stick out that far.

I just think it should be shorter.

Personally, things like that, keep me from playing games.

If I don't like something, feature, or gfx wise, I won't play it. Which is why I didn't play MagiKnights too long, the mapping is horrible on there.

So you wont play Godborn the house construction doesnt fit into your taste xD.

Well i see what you mean, ill try shorten them out and still make it look like something is holding the roof or so.. ill see what i can do.

I think that In these of games what they do, is to draw the bg in paper and then make it into the computer, resize and edit.

Yes i also think so, but it can be done through pixel to. Im sure Gliding can.

You'd probably have an easier time just doing 3D graphics in something like that I'd assume. That'd be quite amazing if someone could do something close to that, just because that kind of style is not the thing you usually see from pixel art.

That scene is probably rendered, turned into the tiles/background, and then sprites placed in it.

your second one the roof is too big..

I like the first one though its different

i like the first one better. Looks more realistic with the angle.

The second one looks like a frontal view of the house, that for some reason extends up.

the first looks like a top view. The top of the house is closer, making it seem wider. And toward the ground it gets more narrow.

eh, the first looks better to me.

I will try doing a total new version of the house, somehow between the first and second.

The first one is really good Mith, except for one thing.
You need to make the roof lines straight, you know those ones on the left and right that go

If they were straight the house would kick some ass =]

just noticed that the shading of the first hosue is wrong if you look at the shadow and at the trees ^^

Not realy, i choose that style and studied that roof and found out they just copied 2 different bricks and made a roof out of that.

But not as base, check that yourself .

I like the First one. It adds a interesting angle. But it looks out of place because the trees are straight up and down while the house has a more 3d look. I think if you made a whole tile set that looked the same angle it would be eally good. Every single ms game follows the style of the second and third house.
