Mirage Source

Recently, Sonire asked me to pixel him a sprite 48x96 for a project hes planning on. Ive been working on it for about 30 minutes. I'm not the best of the graphics artist so this is all i can really do.
I was just wondering which is better, left or right? Also some feedback would be nice.

i'd say the one on the right. Doesn't look shaded enough to me though... mind you i don't do any of my own graphics the body just doesn't look 'well defined' to me

Pilow shaded, bad thing. Try looking how old snes sprites are made or something . Good luck

flat chest? oh and yeah, pillow shading... If I'm not wrong, you should choose a light source before shading. You have to shade just a little bit the muscles, maybe. Look at the mirror, and check the shading. That might help.

EDIT: Or do like me. Grab a sprite by Mith, and learn from that. You might get stuck like me. Can't draw sideways. Lazyness doesn't pay off.

I actully like the shading. I don't know, theres just something about me. I do like the one on the right more. Looks eh? bigger?

Pixel them some pectorals, maybe some other parts which will make him a sexual tyrannosaurus.

I'm no pixel artist, but I had a go at some pecs. I also made some new hair colors in photoshop.

No offence, I was to lazy to change his sprite. I'll try now.

EDIT: Done. Right one uses you pallete. The right one is just cuz I'm bored.

EDIT2: Its not important but the jaw of the left guy has a slight problem. And I did a new version with abs, just for fun not shown.

It's pretty code. But the shading on the body is just to harsh, you should shade it lighter.
