You don't want them to fill the entire 64x32 area, to be honest. Look at RMXP sprites, they're not fully 64 pixels tall. More like 48 tall, I think.. Somewhere around there. I'd stick with your original sprites, if I were you. <3 them. |

Yeah when I'm done and you all see the finished result, you'll say my old style is so amature you wont even believe it. |

Okay, take your simple stuff, and I will create my 2d rpg using my own style. Trust me, the stuff I have in my head, wow, this game is going to be very interesting... The detial and life I put into creating my very own never before seen custom graphics, that arn't like EVERYBODY elses that use XRPG or whatever, I would rather open paint and just create something no one has ever seen. Not use something created by someone else, that everyone uses. |

Oh well. Still don't like the tall ones, they're ugly. |

I believe the problem with the tall ones are the legs they are like: _l l_ |

Vans wrote: I believe the problem with the tall ones are the legs they are like: _l l_ That's part of it. But they just don't look right. Some parts are too big, while others are too small. I just don't like 'em. |

Everyone check out my new sprites so far! Anyone who says my old ones are still better even now, even when you have only seen 0.01% of the new gfx I will be using is going to make me mad, cause ur blind if my tiny little non-detialed amature sprites are better! |

Alright, I don't need any help with pixel-art... My sprites are as they are now, and if they change, which they do daily, the change will be of my own and not of someone elses. If you want to see mis-shapen sprites, look at the one you're trying to help? me with. And do whatever you want with my old graphics, anyone can use them, mess around, change them, i don't care. Thanks for the help, but no thanks, its all my style, all my independent way! |

The female still seems a little bulky in the shoulders to me. They are very well done though, nice job. |

Thanks for the help, but no thanks, its all my style, all my independent way! You're ungrateful. Vans is one of the best pixel artists to ever hit the MS scene. You didn't have to use his, he was simply trying to show you a better method. If I were anyone here, I wouldn't help you anymore. You're rude and ungrateful. You new sprites still suck btw. |

Post subject: | Re: New GFX Updated - Old |
i've never seen vans work, but by what i have just seen... a child could do just as good, and let me see anyone else show step by step from nothing and make better sprites then i have here, new and old. vans totally erased all minor detial and changed critical size, you have to think about the future and the way items will lay out on your sprite its not just looks, but at the same time, it is. ![]() ![]() and anyone can take a previously existing sprite, outline it and do touch ups, i created these all by myself with no template, no existing sprites to go off, just a blank page in paint, so say what you will. And vans was asking for the way I acted, you don't just take hold of someones project and try and turn it around, for the worst. and its not ungreatful to not except help, don't give help and dont mess with other peoples work unless asked, or you offer first. That was offencive to me what he did, i mean, when trying to make something better, at least make it, better! if I was showing off vans edited sprite as my own, what would you all be saying? I would be moving backward, not forward in the progress. |
