So I said I was going to make a new snow (ground tile), and now I made three different once, so tell me which number you like the most: http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/2325/snowland7to.png And also tell me if you dont like any of them, then I'll make some new |

Yeah you need randomness.. Compared to the new ones even the old was better. |

The old one looks more like snow than the new ones, I wouldn't try to put a texture for the snow, I don't think snow really has a pattern, unless you want to make it glint or something. |

perhaps have random slightly shaded spots? only VERY slightly... so it looks like there's depth to the snow instead of it being perfectly flat... maybe patches of grass showing through (don't use as a mass-use tile, just use a diff tile every so often to give it that effect) |

You could always you the spray can tool in paint and spray over the tiles with a slightly darker white |

I don't really like any of them at all.. just too repetative and not random enough. If I had to pick, 1. |

haveyou ever seen an untrampled field of snow it looks perfect no flaws minus the occasional dip or rise now a trampled field of snow is a very different story |

I actually like the old one and number 3 the best.. I would say a good way to do snow would be to just throw in some bits of grass like someone stated eariler, and just a small mound of snow here and there, etc.. This would work extremely well with the old option.. It would make hte snow 'less' perfect, maybe add some foot prints around some places, etc.. But yeah, i like your frozen water.. |
