Ron was probably the best when he was still active and posting some info. I'd say Tyler probably was now. I'm only just moving away from this old procedural language to OOP, so I'm well behind most other people xD

This post actually helped me create what was the unreleased engine. And you saying that this would help my gamemaker experiance insults my ability in gamemaker. I made this because it was easy for me. And it was easy. And I made it.

Ehhh. Just when I started to like you, Labmonkey. How is him saying that you gaining experience in gamemaker insulting you? I'm sure Spodi, Robin, and other good programmers gain experience still. Maybe not milestones, lol, but experience.

And I'm honestly shocked that you lectured the one person who stuck his neck out for you in your topic, doesn't matter who. And you had to say necro? Really? I usually contain this word for the people who deserve it, and you are definitely a douchebag.

Anyway, I might as well defend my point.


I program for the result, not for the "journey". I don't care how much I know about programming, I just want to make a game. If I can make the games I want to make, and they work, then I don't give a crap how much more I know. Him saying that I was doing this for the experience implied that I was not going to make a game with it, and that I was just doing it for "fun". I know how to do everything for gamemaker mirage, and I was doing it so that it could get done, not to "learn". I said it was insulting as to imply that I knew enough to do it.


If you don't like my word choice, go away.

If your fine now, go away.

Please let this topic just die... I will bring it back up later if i ever finish.
