That swapping items is a feature all games should have, if they have vis inventory. Nice to see some stuff getting done. Can't wait for the server to come up so I can give it a try.

Parties are now working pretty well.

It's mostly behind-the-scenes stuff I've been doing, and the interface is horribly basic, but it works :]

You can create a party by typing in /invite [playername]. They can then accept or decline this invitation using commands, and they can also leave a party using a command.

Once the new patch comes out, these ugly commands will be replaced with a nice user interface which should make it seem more intuitive.

Gold share, Exp share and Sp sharing all works now, thanks to Dmitry's good work.



Harry pointed something quite funny out when we were playing, however. He was dropping and picking up his gold to show me how much he had, and when he picked it up I got a generous 1/2 share of it It pointed out to me that if people are throwing their gold around on the floor, the entire party can help themselves to it whether they can pick it up or not. I'll probably edit the gold drop from npcs to go straight to a player's inventory, instead.

Basically, I realised it would be a while before I had the engine completed to a standard which an entire new version would require (1.4.0). As a player, however, I do know that without the banks and parties, the game gets stale very quickly.

I decided that it would be best to release these 'larger' features in a small new patch, whilst I continue work on a more complete version of 1.4.0.

Here's a few things I added or edited:

• Removed /pvp.
• Added parties, as well as exp share, sp share and gold share. Please try this feature out as much as possible, because as you can imagine I can only get limited testing done by myself.
• Upgraded the inventory to show currency values and allow slot changing.
• Added a bank, which can be found in Lupin Square. It can hold up to 100 different types of item, and can handle up to a few billion of each of them
• Edited the engine to make way for a new software-rendering system which should remove the masking problems in a few of the graphics.
• Fixed up some logging errors which could slow down the game.
• Removed the horrible drop menu and added a new multi-purpose currency handler, which can handle dropping currency items, or depositing/withdrawing them from your bank.
• Fixed up the item description screen so it can show details of banked items, and it shouldn't steal focus as much anymore.

Here are some known problems:

• You cannot drop a single unit of currency. I'll fix this and upload it in the next tiny update.
• Gold share works on ALL gold which a player picks up. This means if you're buying or selling items, you should do so when you're not in a party.

If you find any other problems, please post them as soon as you find them, so I can get to work on fixing them.

A preview of the first new boss.. which is located in Everfall Woods > Deadgrounds. She'll be the easiest boss after level 20.. Allthrough she might be the hardest boss you guys have faced so far. Ive tried to make it so you'll really need one of each class in this battle.

She reflects melee damage, she doesnt walk but she does limited ranged Magic damage.. So all spellcasters can stay out of range and dps the boss without ever getting hit.. But! She respawns four minions which a Guardian/Fighter should probably take out.. Since the four minions can move around freely on the map and also do ranged magic damage, they're also limited to a range but as they can walk around anywhere on the map.. they can easily come after the Healer/Wizard as they respawn.. They have an 10 sec Respawn time.. so you kinda need to kill them quite fast.

Oh and one thing i almost forgot to mention.. As soon as you enter the map, your stuck inside there ;D.



In the next preview im gonna show a little bit of the new dungeon i'll be working on.. Which will feature level 25-30 content.. The bosses there will be very different from what you've all fought so far..
