I believe it's been a pretty long time I haven't posted here, so I'll start by saying hello to everyone down here. Some of you may (or may not, which is rather a good thing, Lol) remember me. Anyway, let me quickly introduce this game I've been working on for quite a while, rather as a side project, but which turned to be.. not so bad. Also, I expect to run an alpha test pretty soon, to test both the engine and the game.
There is not much to say about the game itself, I've been using Milestone as base source, and RMXP gfx. The game has been in development for roughly 1.5 year, working slowly. I spent a lot of the time balancing everything, so that the game would make senses. Each class has a different starting area, and so, a different story. Talking about story, I've written a storyline for the game, which could help you understand the name, which can be wierd. Problem is: It's written in french and it need to be fixed a little bit. Anyway, that's nothing important for the Alpha test. Without being cocky, The game is a tad better than all the crap you've seen popping out all these year. Especially from Elysium and such. But you'll notice that by yourself, anyway.
My engine's main features (biggest one):
- Complete Quest System
- Complete Buff System
- Complete Chat System
- Revamped Npc AI (Pathfinding*, and they no longer switch target like monkey)
* Yes, the pathfinding that is available on this forum. I would like to thank the guy who posted it, works like a charm.
Here is a list of everything you can expect to meet in the Alpha;
- 4 fully playable classes
- 2 unfinished classes, which you can decide to pick or not.
- Main town "Riverhill" completely mapped (around 30 maps if not more) with shops, fighter guild, mage guild and some random houses mapped.
- Hugh plain to explore (and grind)
- Playable up to level 35
- Random quests there and there (also depend on which classe you pick)
