Introduction:

Merrimint is a unique ORPG with a chibi colorful world. An emphasis is put on having fun, rather than grinding. There are no levels in Merrimint, however you will be able to make your character stronger through fighting, questing, and crafts. There are also no classes; players can freely customize their characters. With enough effort and training you character can become skilled in both melee and magic. We're the first online game to utilize "breeze" resources constructed by Green Raven, however we have made enough modifications to the sprites to call them our own.

Merrimint Features:

Leveling System:

First of all there are no levels whatsoever. Characters will gradually become stronger by gaining EXP through fighting monsters, crafts, and quests. You can then spend you accumulated EXP points to obtain the stats you want. The higher your stat value, the more EXP is required to level it up.

Crafting System:

Crafts are the trade skills of Merrimint. These skills can be leveled up, with a higher craft level you have a greater chance of successfully completing crafts. Crafts will also give EXP and thus will ultimately better your character. Some of the Crafts include:

Peace of Mind (Fishing)
Sense of Taste (Cooking)
Black Lungs (Mining)
Heart of Steel (Forging/Blacksmithing)
Green Thumb (Farming)
Dusty Palms (Woodcutting/Fletching/Carpentry)
Way With Words (Writing)

Passive Skills:
Passive skills are skills that are automatically activated. Every character has the same passive skills. These skills can be leveled up by using different types of weapons. With a higher skill level, you will do more damage with that type of weapon.
Some of the passive skills include:

-Melee-
Swordplay (The higher the level the more damage done with a Sword)
Pack Light (The higher the level the more damage done with a Dagger)
Heavy Shoulder (The higher the level the more damage done with an Axe)
Titan Grip (The higher the level the more damage done with a Spear/Lance)
Pull Back (The higher the level the more damage done with a Bow/Crossbow/Bowgun)
Knuckle Bust (The higher the level the more damage done with a Knuckle/Claw)
Rhythm (The higher the level the more damage done with an Instrument)

-Magic-
Flame Aura (The higher the level the more damage done with Fire type spells)
Aqua Aura(The higher the level the more damage done with Water/Ice type spells)
Spark Aura (The higher the level the more damage done with Electric type spells)
Nature Aura (The higher the level the more damage done with Earth type spells)
Sacred Aura (The higher the level the more you are able to heal yourself and others, and damage the undead with Holy type spells)
Anti Aura (The higher the level the more damage done with Dark type spells)

Active Skills:

Active Skills can be used through skill books. They cannot be leveled. However you can equip/unequip at anytime to change your current active skill list. Active skills are used in battle. They can do a numerous amount of things from: healing your character/party, damaging an enemy, temporarily switching/raising you or your party's stats, and many other things. Active skills can be used at the cost of Magic Points, or Stamina Points, depending on whether the skill is magical or not. Unlike most games all active skills will revolve around YOUR character. There will be no pointing and clicking, as you wait for your enemy to die. Instead skills will use a sort of grid system.

Card System:

Cards can be obtained by killing monsters. Each monster drops their own unique card. Every card has a unique ability, some with characteristics from the monster that dropped it. You can equip these cards to customize you're character even further. However card drops are a bit rare to find, but if you manage to find three of the same card you can form a deck which will give you double the effects of the original card.

Bestiary System:

The Bestiary system allows players to view their fighting history. You will be able to see how many times you have killed a certain monster. You will also be able to view the monster's hit points, description, skills, and what it has dropped so far.

Green Slime:

Green Slime's often scavenge the area in search for something good to eat.

Skills: ???

Drops: ???, ???, Apple, ???

Merrimint will have many more features, we aim to make a unique game, with ideas that are original and some that have been modified from other great games.

Customization:

You will be able to control many aspects of your character, from gender, hairstyle, hair color, clothing/armors, headgear, weapons, and off-hand equipmint.

GreenRaven D: !?
Those are the tiles and sprites of the whole Breeze Revolution team.

Nope, they are just Green Raven's. That why I'm personally against the Breeze Revolution because 90% of the things on it are Green Ravens. And if you read their Terms of Service they pretty much ask for money for HIS work.

http://greensart.exnw.com/?page=

That's GR's website all of HIS resources can be found there.. the same ones on the Breeze Revolution, which to me is pointless and they take all the credit because the only "decent" resources on there are made by Green Raven. Even the owner of the Breeze Revolution (Axerax) hasn't posted anything..

Graphics look very nice, and you have some solid ideas. Better release this one!

I've noticed the katakana in your title graphic. Do you intend to have Japanese players or market it toward the Japanese?

Nope, the logo was made by Hanzo Kimura and he added in the japanese text so it would seem more chibi. I don't think it really means anything in Japanese, but if you say it aloud it will sounds something like "meh" "ri" min" "to"

It's written in katakana, which is the character set representing foreign words and such... it likely means nothing but a name.

Heya everyone, well it's a new month so most of the voting sites have been reset, if you have a couple seconds to spare can you help out Merrimint and vote? You only need to do it once a month ^^

Here's the voting link:

You shouldn't bother with MMORPG Topsites. The general mmo sections are filled with Browser based games which offer points in-game for voting.

Yea, I've tried other sites and they've been pretty useless, but on this one I got 560 unique hits from last month, and estimating 100+ members from it

Dave.

Then me and him perfected it.

It was to see if he could do it, inspired by a suggestion for Merrimint.

Post subject:  Re: Merrimint

hah, I created it and Merrimint was the test dummy.

The scrolling is posted on the MSE3 forum, as a demo app to try yourself and a subversion patch file (I am too lazy to write a tutorial!). The patch file is plain text, so if you're hard core you could install it without subversion. Robin did.

In all modesty though, I do have more common sense than most people here xD

If you don't know Mirage, you wont be able to add it in.
