I know these questions have been asked but I still need my own personal post about it, or how else will the questions I want answered be answered. See I am not trying to get all fancy and make a game, so don't even go into saying its going to ruin my game, cause I am not making one, yet. I am just playing with each and every aspect of the source, seeing what I can do with it, basicly just getting to know Mirage, understand her, recognizing her. LOL just so I know what I can change/add/edit with the least amount of errors and bugs. Okay, here is what i was trying to do... I wanted to change the size of my tiles to 16x16 and see how it looked, played and how much smoother the game would run with it set that way. So I edited the source to have 16x16 tiles, changed the size of the game screen and the tile selector in the map editor because the smaller image constants made the game screen much smaller, but that problem I solved. Along with the 16x16 tiles, went my sprites. Now my sprites are 16x16 and you can only see a fraction of my npc/chars. This I very much dislike! I tried editing offsets and stuff but found no proper fix, any help is much needed and thanked! |

If you didnt edit the sprites graphics, you'll need to make PIC_X and PIC_Y (i think?) 32 for sprites, and 16 for tiles. But I must advise, using 32^2 sprites on 16^2 tiles is difficult |

See but I am using... PIC_X = 16 PIC_Y = 16 Thats the only way my tiles work. I have already tried... PIC_X = 32 PIC_Y = 16 And so on... And the only reaction Mirage gives me is a screwed up game screen with mixed up and spread out tiles every which way, you can't move or even see your character on the screen. So PIC_X and Y both need to be 16. So is there another solution for this? |
