Is there an optimization code that I haven't found or is it just my crappy ass computer that can't handle it when I increase the map size?

Increasing map size exponentially boosts lag usually.

Not always.. I upped my map size to 24x18 and my FPS went higher. O_o

You could try adding something like dirty Rectangles or something, that would defiantly make a difference

No, I didn't touch the fps lock after changing it. =P

It's not much but I think i went to like 16x12 or so and it really slows it down if i map a full map with tree's and rocks and houses and such.

actually, a blank map vs. a map with trees and such wont have ANY difference in speed.

My maps are currently 30*30 and that happens to cause lag. I will probably change the size to 20*20. That should make some difference, right?

20*20 maps have 400 tiles.
30*30 maps have 900 tiles.

I would say it would help quite a bit.
Just removing one row and column, making 29*29 maps, would remove 59 tiles! wow!

I think you should try using william sharding tutorial it only loads a sertant amount of tiles around you it loads the map first though but it will only keep loadign the tiles around you which will speed up your game a bit and allow you to increase your map size.
