Can you please explain click by click what you did.

Download the latest release, extracted MS4Features, Open Server, Run Server.exe, Open Client folder, Open Client.exe, Log in as Admin, open Mapeditor, click Grass Using "Ground" and fill, after that, i click a bush that has a blue background, and click Fringe, ive also tried fringe2, Mask & Mask2, and lay it out, am i doing something wrong?

If the background color is blue, you need to use blue for the top left tile, the one with the 0,0 pixel.

Can you send a screenshot of fringe "not working" and also send over the map file for that map.

@matt, if he is using the default tileset then that is set up. Fringe works for me, and everyone else that has played.

Something anyone using MS4 should do is switch back to systemmemory. Videomemory causes so many problems. Limits your tileset length and all kinds of shit.

Might that solves his problem? Or do not like the New Topic button. ;)

It's caused a lot of problems. This being one of them.

Nevermind, i fixed my fringe mapping problem lol. :D

oh, and also "edit spell" comes up with a run time error : 380 "invalid property value"
and after editing an item, i get a "Error rendering graphics : the provided rectangle is invalid" in the chat box.
lol.

and that's without changing anything in the engine.

Could you add in Class requirements for weapons and armor?

I am uncrappifying my computer so this project will be on hold until about wednesday for me. If anyone else wants to work on it though, I would highly encourage it. Just write some tutorials.

Just realized something, when you try to use tiles below half-way down the sheet, it uses the wrong tile.

No need for the double post. People can't help you without you giving the exact ERROR.

I might pick this up, and add some things to it. Not making any guarantees though.

I was considering doing up my own version, but I wanted to wait for something. I'm pretty sure i read around here something about Dugor fixing up the bugs in the latest MS4 engine, and maybe converting to byte arrays.

If you always wait for the new thing then you will never get started.

The simple fact is that mirage works. You can use it to make a game (or elyisum diamond or even eclipse for that matter) and if you want to use it for a game do it, if not and you are just here to opitize a source (which is fine, don't get me wrong) then you should wait for the newer version.

Just my 2 cents. Bye

And thanks for all of the hard work updating this for all of us!
