Are there any official certifications for Visual Basic 6? I Google'd but they didn't seem official / professional...I'd like to have a certification just to have one :D

I just completed ExpertRatings VB6 programming certification test, for the hell of it. Then I showed it to Jacob and he went ahead and got one as well.

It seems to be somewhat valued on http://www.rentacoder.com. Although, in the end, I guess it's worth getting...feeds the e-peen afterall.

Jacob scored 1 question better than me...bastard >_>

I don't really mess with ActiveX in VB6 but that's the only thing that I wouldn't pass on.

Well, if you feel confident, go ahead and try it.

It really isn't as easy as it sounds, but its not horribly difficult. I definitely wasn't prepared for it though, it caught me severely off-guard. Although, whats funny is that I said the exact same thing you did prior to taking the test, and my ass got smacked like a newborn baby.

Since VB6 is not fully supported and stuff, and now that VB6 has become VB.Net, there is no official certification for VB6.
If you want to take a look, go at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/certification/.
Good luck ^^.

I admit I clicked. I immediately closed upon realizing there was, in fact, no free money.

Yeah I figured that much.

I wonder if the ExpertRatings certification would do any good on a resume?
