Well that makes a lot more sense, I'll get rid of that ini file and put the stuff client side, that is more logical. That is very true, so maybe alpha phases would be a good time to start the advertising and stuff. Ive seen that happen to a lot of things.

Wouldn't you think that making a website as early as possible would be more effective so you can generate hype and excitement for your game? I noticed that was on the bottom of your list, just my opinion though.

Well my thought is this, let the server create directories for the quests and then separate .DAT files for the parts.. just like items and spells server/Data/Quests/MQuest1/part0.dat ~ part5000.dat Quests would be the main directory for the Main Quests, and it would have folders for all the main que...

1) Those same people should be using Eclipse. I don't see why we should use DX7 because Eclipse does... 2) If something like DX8 was implemented into MS, an average Nub like myself who has been so used to DX7 is gonna have no idea what the heck is going on and it will just totally screw up my proce...

idk, I always got pissed when I played an RPG and I was trying to go from town A to town B and I ran into 65874654786548765489 encounters... ORPG's would suck because you travel a LOT.

Ehh... not to sure about that, would totally DESTROY player parties because a tile you walk on that battles an NPC will not be accessible to a party member. I see turn based battle systems strictly made for RPG's. It really does take away from gameplay. In my opinion at least.

heres a suggestion, put striped bars, like the one on the top image, behind where it says latest news etc.., it almost seems like theres supposed to be one but it not there.

New Update

Justin got the engine converted to DX8 and we are adding more heavy features like vissual banks and Visual parties, also the forums are now up, check the original post. Register to gain access to the beta which is coming pretty damn soon.

It would probably have to have the players name in the command to, so it knows what player to set the rep. /setrep jsventor 2.

The server has a Function called FindPlayer(Name) i think.
