Hmm, that one looks pretty good, although the one I am looking for made a bitmap of the font to fit in a 256x256 texture, with each character in that font also in order so that you could easily use it. It had a GUI interface, and I'm pretty sure it was posted here. It was literally like, enter the f... |

Hey guys I remember a long time ago I had found a tool on here that would basically let you make a texture-sized bitmap of any font, which is incredibly useful for DirectX 8. Does anyone happen to have the link to that utility or something similar?

Personally, I feel that the graphic drawing is already optimized, and doing this, although it could be a good idea on let's say indoor maps where there are lots of empty tiles, on most maps it is useless and will just lower your FPS. You have to remember that basically your game needs 32 FPS to look... |

And prevents screenshots, which is retarded. Ah, yes that is true :P Well I mean, in reality, there's always a chance of your graphcis getting stolen, no matter what you do. Your best bet is to just encrypt the actual graphic files, at least that way people cannot edit them or steal them directly (... |

lul If you were really trying to protect your graphics, you would force focus or minimze when focus is lost, and when in focus, generate a fake bmp to the clipboard when prtscn was pressed. It would foil most people if you did that and your images were encrypted. but nothing is ever safe these days... |

This wasn't actually meant for preventing your graphics from being stolen xD It was more along the lines of hiding files inside images, which is the goal of the application xD |

Thanks. I hope to produce a tile-set in the future, but am not working on one atm. I'd probably benefit more doing some real-life studies first. Especially trees, I have a hard time with them, but am starting to improve. Say I were to need a tile-set once, out of curiosity, how much would you charg... |

This could probably be altered to make game-time based on real time (3 hours is a day or something in game?) Just a thought. Well this is basically what this code is, it's based on 'real time'. A in-game day is 24 minutes according to this code (60 real seconds = 60 in-game minutes). It could easil... |

Yeah, many games use either external softwares or built-in code to scan for possible botting software. It is a good idea, although there can be some downfalls to it. It's always good to have some basic protection though. |

Any suggestion on bot prevention Joost? Have a little automated message sent to users every once in a while, requesting them to answer a simple simple question. Perhaps even give a tiny reward. If you fear users might be afk, you could always add in an Idle timer variable saying how long the player... |
