The slowest portion is really recalculating and looping through everything in each frame, the drawing is fairly fast.

@DFA - Don't spend too much time on this yet (unless you want to have both dx7 and 8 versions), I'm coding a Dx8 variant. Currently in the SVN it's still Dx7, changes'll probably appear tomorrow sometime.

Send messages in plain text. All the players would have to have attributes defining what languages they know anyways, so if needed (if the language isn't known) just encode on the receiving end.

DX8 is easy peasy. I spent maybe 10 hours making an ASCII game with some friends last weekend. What ever the version before 1.3 is, that's what the current version was when I saw PW. I remember 1.3 coming out.

You could just hit replace all, if you wanted to, but like Spodi says, it really doesn't make all that much of a difference.

So, what does, 'the game registers yuo as moving' mean? Moving = True? Or whatever value it is? Or does the x and y values of the players location actually change? The first, and most likely one, would be caused by a packet not sending or recieving correctly. Where as the second one doesn't make as ...

As your blting just add the x and y offsets to the x and y of the trailing thing.
