It may be that, I haven't looked at anything game related in a while, let alone VB6 or Mirage. I'll catch up with Oscar soon hopefully, I just started using MSN again.
The engine I am speaking of had Tibia style Z-levels and such, so if that's what you have, then it is it. |

I beleive there is a work around somewhere that allows you to draw components off the drive itself, also, if your MS game auto registers DLLs, you could register external DLLs to the system. |

Windows, as far as I know, treats each screen as a seperate entity, and split programs, when maximized and such, default to the primary screen. Though, there are some programs that allow Windows to treat them both as one screen, so they may treat it differently. |

Interesting to see someone actually got this done and out for once. DX8 can be really nice if done right and real nasty if not. Hopefully you can get it nicely optimized and such so that it runs like a beaut. Oscar had a real nice system working, I'll see if I can find it and offer any advice when I... |

This is common practice and probably a good feature to have. It is actually called string tables to be formal, usually loaded from a file with a corresponding name or number to each so that once loaded into the table they can be easily referenced. You could implement bloom filters for visual basic a... |

This would eb awesome if every map was completely hand drawn.
though the tile idea is pretty sweet to, the same result in less time, but I feel like whole maps would be higher quality |

No it shows that everything we do usually has no point, but just gets bigger and bigger lol. If you look at it, the green flame is small, given up for a bigger blue flame, then dropped to go back to the green and then finally blue comes back and its bigger then green cause all of greens features wer... |

If im nto mistaken, subs need Call and functions its optional? EDIT: I was wrong, apparently si compeltely optional for everything Only benefit i see is ease of use, call requires you use () to encase arguments, without ti you just type through, it only really saves you the call command and 2 charac... |

yes this is def. a thing to do. Most morpgs actually store in in either a bit file or plain text, allowing for translation to other languages to. like [byte for number][byte for color][byte for string length][plaintext string] yeah, players can edit it pretty easy, but hey, it makes funny screenshot... |

Exactly. Work on the subversion, the truely public version, or work on someone else's pet project - I don't care. Give me a gtalk and I'll show you how to use it, if you want to work on something, do it and post a patch. We'll look at the patch, if we stay in regular communication it should be no i... |

Wouldn't that be more decided by William. As MS4 is not under other ms products, but under the community itself. Correct? Public domain means he doesn't own it either. So if people taking over isn't your thing, you don't go into public domain. If being a "glory figure" is your thing. Don't... |

I do recall reading the forums since MSE4 started and it continually being stated as a community project. Which would more assumable have been commandeered by DFA? |

Actually community projects usually fail because they are closed off to a group of people. This is the only one readily accessible to the whole community and the SVN provides a way for it to be handled. DFA seems to be wanting to do the project solo with Dugor, which doesnt make this a community pro... |

Has this been brought up yet? I have been reading through the documentation and progress is good, but this seems to be a simple thing that has been overlooked. As far as I can tell modeling is still done based simply on FPS of the computer and not a set time limit and speed. Am I wrong on this? |
